Saturday Morning Loop North

Join us for a Saturday morning drive through some great roads and good scenery to the North of Melbourne, finishing around 1.00pm in Healesville.

We'll meet at 9.30am for a 10.00am departure from the Hume Freeway roadhouse near Wallan.  First we'll cruise to Seymour.  From there we'll use some great backroads to another stop in Yea. Then it's mostly backroads to Healesville.

No lunch venue has been booked in Healesville.  We'll finish the drive at the Beechworth Bakery (and hopefully pose the cars for photos there) - it's usually busy but with plenty of seating.  But everyone is also welcome to eat at any of the other cafes in town.

In the afternoon, there are plenty of things nearby to take in, if you'd rather not head straight home, such as:

• Tarrawarra Museum of Art beside Tarrawarra Estate vineyard

• Between Healesville and Gruyere is the heart of the Yarra Valley wine district, with many cellar doors open for tastings
• The Chocolaterie at Yarra Glen
• Yarra Valley Dairy for cheese tastings
• Healesville Sanctuary zoo

We highly recommend you have a UHF radio with you on all our drives,
to be alerted to road hazards and for other communication.  We will use channel 17.
