Pre-Torquay Motor Show Drive
Each year the Rotary Club Torquay organise a pre-Torquay Motor Show Cruise to Torquay. The starting point is the Birregurra Public Hall (Mechanics Hall) with a scheduled departure time of 1:30 pm.
We will join in the that drive, meeting up behind the Johanna Edwards Chinese Medicine Centre at approx 45 Molesworth Street, Birregurra, a short way from the start point by 1:15 pm so we can organise ourselves before moving round to the general assembly area.
The drive is 83 km with an estimated drive time of 1 hour 20 minutes.
This event is open to all, whether you are attending the Torquay Motor Show or not. But this event notice is only for the BMW Drivers Club Melbourne group. For general information go to the Rotary club Facebook page or website.
The drive will end at the show rea, Elephant Walk, Torquay, where we will meet up with other cars, some of which will be at the following day's show and some will not be.
In the evening we will go to the Torquay Hotel for a bistro style dinner, in the bistro section (not the public bar) at 7pm. you can still join us for dinner even if not coming on the drive. View the menu here.
If you have booked for dinner through the Motor Show event, please do not book again here - use the "Drive only" option.
If you are planning to stay overnight in the Torquay area, book early - February is still part of their high season and places get booked out quickly.
The Torquay Hotel has some accommodation, but there are many other options, including the 20 minute drive back into Geelong.
