TOUR HISTORIC TOWNS NORTH OF MELBOURNE
with lunch in historic Kyneton

There is a lot of history just north of Melbourne that we normally drive past on the way to other places.  This is a great opportunity to explore a few of those places on a day trip, with pleasant cruising in good company.

There will be time for a pleasant morning tea and exploration in charming Trentham.
Lunch will be in the historic Shamrock Hotel in Kyneton, along with some detailed information of the history to explore in town.  We'll also drop into or pass through another five historic towns or localities, as well as a historic road and a waterfall.
We'll finish about 3.30pm in Lancefield, just 30 minutes outside of Melbourne's outskirts.

This is a different tour to the historic towns tour we did two years ago, but with some overlap.

The drive instructions to be sent out just prior to the event include explanatory guide notes of the history we'll be exploring.

Meet at the BP Roadhouse/Truckstop on the Calder Freeway (M79) outbound,
just past Calder Park Raceway.  Meet at 9.00am for a 9.30am departure.
The morning tea stop will be about 11.00am and lunch is booked for 1.15pm. 

All food and drink is at the individual's expense on the day.
Registration, including guest numbers, ensures adequate lunch seating.

Registration closes on Thursday 18 September.

We highly recommend you have a UHF radio with you on all our drives we will be on channel 17.
