Join us for a morning drive through scenic West Gippsland
to Wonthaggi
for a tour of the new $4 Million facilities at the Wonthaggi SES
then explore the historic Coal Mine at Wonthaggi

Meet at the BP/MacDonalds Roadhouse
on the South Gippsland Highway (M420) at Caldermeade
at 9.00am for a 9.30am departure.
We'll head through the beautiful West Gippsland scenery
to arrive in Wonthaggi at 11.00am

Join us for a demonstration of the state of the art SES facility and find out more about what these tireless volunteers do to keep us safe.  Your $20 per vehicle donation will help them with funding for equipment and staffing.

We will have time for lunch before the coal mine tour at the cafe.

Join us on a tour of Wonthaggi's historic coal mine.  Underground tours are limited to 20 members.  If we get more than 20 we will do two groups, at 1.00pm and 1.30pm.
There are details below for the underground mine tour.  For those not going underground, there are extensive above-ground displays and history to explore.

The day should finish around 3.00pm ready for an easy freeway cruise home (or an alternative twisty inland road), or stay over in Inverloch at the wonderful RACV resort - use your RACV membership to gain a discount.

DRIVE INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE SENT OUT IN THE FINAL REMINDER EMAIL.

We will be using the TourBoss app on this drive.  Please download the app ready for use.
We highly recommend you have a UHF radio with you on all our drives we will be on channel 17.
If you are wanting to pre purchase a radio kit, please click here to place your order.
