ANZAC long weekend - Beechworth and High Country

ENJOY A 4 DAY LONG WEEKEND BASED IN BEECHWORTH AND ENJOY SOME OF THE STATE'S BEST DRIVING MOUNTAIN ROADS

• Thursday 25: we'll drive to Yea then take backroads to Benalla for a quick lunch before arriving in Beechworth mid/late afternoon with time to look around town.

• Friday 26: three options:
  - enjoy the brilliant, twisting mountain roads in the Mt Hotham area
  - or visit the Bright Autumn festival
  - or explore Beechworth - walking tour, historic precinct, autumn colours
• Saturday 27:
  - drive to Mt Buffalo for spectacular views, bushwalking trails and lakes
  - weather permitting, drive to Lake Buffalo for a lakeside barbecue dinner
• Sunday 28: relaxed start, explore Beechworth history or waterfalls
  - lunch at Milawa, near Beechworth
  - maybe stop into a winery etc in the nearby Milawa area
  - afternoon cruise home

The itinerary is subject to adjustment.  Also, it may be changed at the time based on the weather.  There's flexibility to do your own thing at times too.

We will be based at the Beechworth on Bridge boutique motel - (03) 5728 2244.
Update: this motel is now full. Alternate bookings can be made elsewhere in Beechworth such as Golden Heritage Accommodation (03) 5728 1404 (no formal arrangement has been made with this motel)
