Cancelled due to COVID restrictions.

BMW Car Club Canberra have invited us to join them on their second overnight event, staying at beautiful Merimbula via scenic backroads via Cooma, Bobundra, Jincumbilly, Bombala (morning tea), Cathcart, Wyndham, Pamula and Merimbula.  Meet for lunch at The Waterfront Cafe and then have a free afternoon to explore Merimbula and surrounding towns such as Tathra Beach, Bermagui and Eden which were all severely impact by the 2019/20 fires.

For those interested in Whale watching there will be two options being proposed being 1) 2hr cruise Saturday afternoon leaving from Merimbula (Ph 02 64951686) or 2) Sunday morning 3hr cruise leaving from Eden at 9.00am (Ph 0427 962 027).  Please manage your own bookings.  Depending on the level of interest and attendance of Whale watching, additional drives might be offered as an alternative activity.

Accommodation will be at the Sapphire Valley Caravan Park, 29 Sapphire Coast Drive Merimbula www.sapphirevalleycaravanpark.com.au.  (Ph 6495 1746).  Please make your own arrangements as there is a large range of accommodation options to suit all budgets.

Saturday night's dinner will be at the Merimbula RSL Club.

For those taking option (2) Whale watching at Eden, make your own breakfast arrangements.  For those land lovers, meet down at the Waterfront Cafe 8.30 after checking out.

For those not attending the morning Whale watching, explore the local area or just sit back and enjoy a coffee and good company or explore more back roads. Please be at Eden Visitors Information Centre on Weecoon St by midday.

Lunch venue in Eden to be confirmed, before we drive to Bombala (afternoon tea) via Narrabarba along Imlay Road, then via the back roads to Cooma.  Stopping at Cooma is an option on individuals that want to stretch their legs and have a brew or continue on home.

This is our last overnight trip for the year and will help inject welcome dollars into communities severely impacted by drought, fires and COVID-19.

This is an official BMW Car Club Canberra event and you must be a current financial member.  So come along and enjoy great roads, beautiful scenery, good food and great company.
