It's time for the BMWDCM Annual Show & Shine!
This is a Show & Shine not a Show of Excellence, all cars are welcome.
If you are just wanting to come along and join us for lunch, there will be ample parking below ( the valet parking fee will be covered by the club) for those not participating in the Show & Shine but still want to join us for a bit of fun.
All winning cars will be given a gift vouchers from Jay Leno Garage, as well as a trophy.
If you want to display and not enter the Show & Shine, that's fine too.
The Show & Shine will have an 'open' category for any other cars, no matter whether Ford, GM or any other make!
Come and show off your pride and joy! Prizes will be given for all categories.
Following the Show & Shine, join us inside The Park Hyatt for lunch in the Trilogy Lounge.
Breakfast - Grab and Go - Coffee - Egg and Bacon Roll - $25
Lunch will be a 2 course menu at $40 reduced to $35 per head for members
Stay the night before with our special rate, which includes full cooked Australian breakfast and Valet parking at $315 per room.
If you want to stay 2 nights, we can extend the special rate of $315 for Sunday night as well.
If you are not displaying a car and joining us for lunch, your car will be parked by the Valet, so just approach the Valet Parking area and state your name and BMWDCM and this will be attended to. BMWDCM will cover the cost for parking for members.
We are looking for cars in the club to come out be shown off regardless of condition. If you're unsure about the prospect of a Show & Shine and think that your car is not up to scratch this is not a Concours d’ Elegance but a Show & Shine, with a lot of differences in judging.
How we judge is:
-
By age (generally cars are grouped by age;
-
Mileage (the more KMs, the more points);
-
Cleanliness (if it can’t be cleaned off, then you don’t get marked down);
-
If your car has wear and tear from age this is not marked down;
-
BMWDCM Car Stickers (Available on the day if you don’t have them);
-
Original manuals and service books;
-
Tools in Boot (where supplied in the car ex factory);
-
First Aid Kit complete (where supplied in the car ex factory).
Dents, dings, wear and tear are ignored. This is not a competition to see who can spend the most restoring a car, but to see how well you can clean and detail a car.
This applies equally to non-BMW’s.
If you want to display without being judged, this is fine too (room permitting).
You can even choose to just join us after the Show & Shine for lunch in the Trilogy Lounge.
