Although we will be having a feature display of the spectacular 8 Series cars, we would like you to come along and bring your beauty. We are looking for special cars in the club to come out be shown off regardless of condition.
If you're a little unsure about the prospect of a Show & Shine and think that your car is not up to scratch, well let me tell you, this is not a Concours d’ Elegance but a Show & Shine, with a lot of differences in judging.
How we judge is:
- By age (generally cars are grouped by age;
- Mileage (the more KLMs, the more points);
- Cleanliness (if it can’t be cleaned off, then you don’t get marked down);
- If your car has wear and tear from age this is not marked down;
- BMWDCM Car Stickers (Available on the day if you don’t have them);
- Original manuals and service books;
- Tools in Boot;
- First Aid Kit complete.
Dents, dings, wear and tear are ignored. This is not a competition to see who can spend the most restoring a car but to see how well you can clean and detail a car.
This applies equally to non-BMW’s.
If you want to display without being judged this is fine too.
We are planning on having a fun day with Fashions on the Field and some horse racing games, so come join us, bring the family and your fellow members and friends, for an event which will grow to be a spectacular Annual Event. Great prizes for the winners.
You can even choose to join us after for Lunch, Cup Sweeps and some fun in Steeple’s Restaurant.
