Go Karts at Karting Madness Braybrook (16 Aug 2026)

Winter fun indoors with a rear engined race machine.

That translates to go karts.

Karting Madness Braybrook claims to have one of the longest and fastest indoor kart tracks (in Australia I think).

Over 400m of track with fast straights, tight turns, technical corners and plenty of overtaking opportunities!

An action packed ride for thrill seekers everywhere, no matter your racing experience, you can arrive and drive with friends for an event to remember. With exhilarating turns and fast straights, Karting Madness’ go karting track offers high thrills.

We've opted for the "KMAD" package which gives an 8 min qualifying session, a rest break, and then a 25 lap (about 16 min) grid start race.

The track capacity is 14 competitors at a time so we will run multiple sessions if we have more than 14. We expect this to be in the format Qualifying 1, Qualifying 2, Race 1, Race 2 so each group get a break off track. Even if we only have 1 group there will still be a break between track sessions.

Our "arrival time" is 10:30 am with briefing, group allocation and helmet fitting (you can bring your own Australian Standards compliant helmet) starting very shortly afterwards to be on track at 11 am. Please arrive no later than 10:30 am.

If you have not been to a Karting Madness facility before you will need to take out a "membership" which involves filling in some details and paying $10 (you pay this in our event registration). You can do this online ahead of time here (but do not pay Karting Madness the $10 online if asked). If you want to do it on the day please allow some time to complete this process.

Junior Kart sessions are available for those aged 8 - 13 years old at $39 per session.

Dual seat karts (2 seats, 2 steering wheels but one set of pedals) for an adult driving a 4 -13 year old child passenger are also available at $49 per session.

Mini karts for 4 - 8 year old drivers are available at $12 per session.

Please indicate if you would like any of these for junior participants and we will try to get the sessions lined up in between the adult sessions. These will be charged seperately on the day and subject to confirmation/availability.

There is a cafe selling tea/coffee, some cold drinks, cookies and similar but no hot food.

Registration will close on August 14.

All drivers must be alcohol free (you will be tested) and all participants must have ankle to wrist clothing with closed toe shoes. Pony tails etc which will not fit into the helmet are not allowerd - helmets must be worn! Every driver needs a Karting Madness "membership".

RAAF Museum tour - point cook

Join us on a journey through the ages. Hear the stories of our people surrounded by the aircraft they supported and flew. Learn about the beginnings in the Australian Flying Corps, the courage of our Second World War aviators, and the service of thousands of men and women to our nation at home and abroad in times of peace and war.

There may be a flying display by the Air Force Heritage Aircraft Fleet on the day too (schedule not yet set).

As we have to enter as a group we will meet at 9:30 am for a 10:15 am departure at the 100 Steps of Federation, the highest point of land between Melbourne and the You Yangs. An easy climb up the stone steps (about a 300 metre walk, sloped path alternative) leading up to the summit with 360 degree views and the huge sculpture called the Time Beacon, created by artist Cameron Robbins.

You can capture stunning images of the city in the distance over the green hills and wetlands, and the salt flats to the west, weather permitting.

After the tour join us for lunch at 1.00pm at the Phoenix Hotel 40 Wallace Ave, Point Cook VIC 3030.

Registrations are essential as this is an active RAAF base and a full list of every attendee, their mobile phone number and car registration must be provided in advance. Photo ID is required to be shown by everyone over 16.

There is no cost for the museum tour.
Meals and drinks at the hotel are at the individual's cost on the day.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience the thrill of driving the Thunderdome, your chance has finally arrived.

Ever wondered what these days are all about? Come along and check it out and register for some course car led parade laps behind the BMW Course Car.

What car do I bring?

These days are designed for you to drive in your road car, or your track car.

Do I need a race suit and helmet?
No, these will be course car led parade laps, not hot laps, but we do recommend covered-in shoes, long pants and long sleeves.

How much will it cost?

Drivers cost $30 each.

Passengers $10 each if there is a compliant passenger seat and seatbelt.

Members and non-members all welcome.

All cars welcome as long as they are road/track worthy.

All attending must complete the risk disclaimer at the track then receive a wrist band.

Do I need a Motorsport Australia Licence?

No, your road licence/learner's permit is enough.

Also, if you think you might want to officiate at some of our events, this is a great day to come along and speak with the other experienced Motorsport Australia officials and find out all about the different aspects of officiating and why we all love it.

There will be food vans there to enjoy some lunch while chatting with the competitors and officials.

Bringing the successful Geelong drop‑in format to Melbourne!

We’re excited to host a relaxed, casual chat and get‑together right here in Melbourne — this time inside Shannons’ excellent showroom space. No matter what the weather is doing, we’ll be warm, dry and surrounded by our cars and each other.

We’ll have a coffee van on site and some seating available. All we need now are our members and their machines.

Bring along a car or a motorbike — preferably BMW, but we’re not fussy — plus a warm jacket (heating a big space isn’t easy!) and settle in for a chat, a wander, or a coffee.

Drop in any time between 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

The Dowel Museum showcases a unique collection of some of the rarest cars and motoring collectables in Australia, preserving and celebrating automotive history. The collection is the result of a lifetime of collecting by Terry Dowel, founder of Trydel which provides tyre sealants to several car manufacturers. The museum collection is housed in the former home of the Victorian Equestrian Centre.

BMW Südschleife – Gippsland Weekend

(South Loop through Gippsland)

Join us for a weekend of driving, scenery and good company, through south and central Gippsland.

Saturday will be a full driving day, mixing great driving roads with some scenic cruising, plus some good stops along the way. This day takes us much further east into central Gippsland than our half-day drives.
Sunday is a little more relaxed, with some sightseeing but finished off with more great roads.

Overnight we'll stay at the RACV Inverloch Resort, and dinner will be there too. You should make your own bookings at the Resort. RACV members get a discount if you book through the RACV website. Early booking is strongly advised as the resort is popular and may book out. The RACV resort offers a mix of refundable and cheaper non-refundable bookings, but even the former have strict cancellation conditions to be aware of. If you prefer, you're welcome to stay elsewhere in Inverloch and join the group for dinner.

If you can't make the full weekend, it's possible to join for just one of the days. Please indicate your intention when registering.

All costs are the individual's on the days of the trip.

This will be a wonderfully relaxed day where we can bring our beloved German cars out for display and enjoy a great atmosphere together. It’s the perfect chance to show off our pride and joy, catch up with fellow enthusiasts, and soak up the spirit of Oktoberfest.

There’ll be plenty of fun throughout the day, including the option to dress up in your best Oktoberfest outfits for a chance to win some great prizes. But dressing up is completely optional; you’re just as welcome to come along in your regular gear and simply enjoy the day.

Food and drinks will be available inside at members’ own cost, making it an easy, enjoyable outing for everyone.

It’s shaping up to be one of those events that’s simply too good to miss, relaxed, social, full of character, and a great celebration of our cars and our community.

Point Nepean Heritage Motor Show (1 Nov 2026)

Where classic machines meet one of Australia’s most breathtaking coastal landscapes. Set against the historic grounds of Point Nepean, this annual gathering brings together vintage cars, rare classics, and passionate collectors for a day that feels suspended in time.

A new event for us but one well attended in previous years.

There will be judging with 10 prize categories. There is no entry fee for the competition and no obligation to actively join in, but you may be surprised with a prize!

Entry is $25 for the car and driver, $10 per additional spectator.

As well as registering with us, please purchase your entry ticket with the orgainsers here (the "Car Club Member Display" option), choose No to the question "Are you entering as an individual" and enter "BMW Drivers Club Melbourne" as the club (exactly please, there is no drop down list to select from).

This event notice is for the BMW Drivers Club Melboune display group only, not the general event. Go here to buy tickets for the general event if you are not part of our group.

We have been asked to meet outside of the event and enter as a group. Although we will be allocated parking spaces, this makes it easier for the marshals.

The address shown in this event is our meeting point. Please arrive at 8:15 am so that we can drive into the show by about 8:30 am as a group and park together. The event itself is by the Quarantine Station (a site map will be sent to you in the reminder notice).

There may be other clubs meeting in the same area so please look for our group and try and park together.

Trailer parking and off-load will be available in the Public Car Park at the event.

Melbourne Cup Day Drive

Bellarine Estate at Portarlington

Make Melbourne Cup Day special with an enjoyable drive through scenic countryside, finishing for lunch at Bellarine Estate near Portarlington.

We'll start our drive in the You Yangs. These are the prominent hills between Melbourne and Geelong, that everyone drives past but hardly anyone goes into. This is your opportunity! If you arrive early, there is a short walk and a longer walk to choose from to dramatic lookouts.
Reminder: you can use the TourBoss app to guide you to the start location, or follow the signs to the Turntable carpark.

We'll meet at 9.15am for a 9.50am briefing, before heading off at 10.00am sharp.

The drive will take us through the Brisbane Ranges north of Geelong, with a rest stop at Meredith. We'll then follow the Moorabool River valley to Geelong, then across to Bellarine Estate for lunch at 1.00pm.

Our Cup Day lunch will include sweeps and a raffle. We will also do a Cup day hat parade with prizes for the Best Mens and Womens hat.

Lunch is a Texas BBQ sharing boards with a dessert to follow.

After lunch, if you don’t want to head directly home, the coastal road east through Indented Head and St Leonards is scenic along the waterfront, or you can head down to Queenscliff for cafés, tourist shops, a historic wharf and lookouts. The Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry can take you to the Mornington Peninsula – check costs and sailing times.

Challenge Bathurst Regularity 2026 -SATURDAY/SUNDAY (21 Nov 2026)

BMWDCM have been invited to compete again at Challenge Bathurst 2026.

Please read to the bottom as this notice contains important information

Challenge Bathurst is an invitation-only regularity event and we are very lucky to be invited to join in again for 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to tick off one of your bucket list items and drive on one of the best circuits in the world. You only need a level 2 or above Motorsport Australia licence, you don't need to have a fully prepared race car - any vehicle that you use at a normal sprint day will be eligible as long as it is a BMW and passes scrutineering.

The cost is $2180 per entrant which will be payable to BMWDCM on invoice, your spot will only be secured once full payment has been received.

Entries to General Public open on 1st May so it is imperative to register and pay in full to ensure you are part of this group.

All new registrations MUST now use this link to register.

Once the full payment is made to Challenge Bathurst, all refunds and cancellations are subject to Challenge Bathurst's cancellation policy.

What is a Regularity ?

A regularity is a timed competition event, where you nominate a lap time which you need to try to match each lap. This is not racing door to door, but allows you to drive at a pace that is comfortable for you and your car.

We will also need to supply flag marshalls to help on the Thursday and Friday.

We need your help, so please ask your fellow club members to come along and help out. Arrive early and volunteer as a flag marshal and help those who normally help you drive. Please remember without volunteers you cannot have fun on the track, so this is your way of giving back. All volunteers will be offered free camping. Accommodation may be available at the Bathurst University at a fee.

Any drivers volunteering on the Thursday and Friday will be able to go through scrutineering on Wednesday.

This is available to all current members of all invited BMW Affiliated clubs.

You will need to find your own accommodation and transportation to get there.

Full payment will be required on registration.

Full details will be sent out on the running of the event in July with further paperwork.

ALL paperwork needs to be completed or you will be deemed as not entered and you will miss your spot.

We will need volunteers to help run the team. If you are able to volunteer, or have someone in your family prepared to help, please register for that here.

Christmas Show and Shine and Family Picnic (12 Dec 2026)

We're celebrating our annual Show and Shine and Christmas as a picnic at Cruden Farm

Bring the family for a picnic, enjoy all the amazing cars on display and explore the wonders of this truly amazing Melbourne Landmark.

You can enter the show and shine, just display your car or just join us for a picnic lunch.

The Show and Shine will have an 'open' category for any non-BMW cars, no matter whether Ford, GM or any other make! We know there are plenty of amazing cars out there and we would love to see them on the day, even if you don't enter the judging.

Only BMWDCM members may enter the Show and Shine competition, but visitors are welcome to display cars and join for the picnic lunch.

We will have a BBQ there in the morning with egg and bacon rolls which will just be a donation in the charity tin. Huge thank you to the guys and gals from All Residential/All Commercial Real Estate and All Marque Storage for giving their time to cook breakfast for us all and to Bell Motorsport for donating the food.

There are scattered picnic tables in the gardens but I would advise you to bring your own picnic chairs and tables to be safe. No rubber backed Picnic Rugs are allowed on the lawns.

Coffee and cold drinks will be available to purchase at the venue.

There will be ample parking for those not participating in the show and shine or the display but still want to join us for a bit of fun.

We have been in contact with Santa and he said he will be swinging by to check out all the little kiddies and big kiddies to make sure you have been good in 2026.

There will be Christmas raffles, so make sure you bring cash with on you on the day.

Show and Shine judging will be in classes of similar age cars: the exact classes will be determined by entries so as to have about the same number in each class. This is not a concours event; originality is not a criterion. It is all about how well the car is cleaned and presented. No demerits for stone chips or the like. The Show and Shine competition is open to BMWDCM members only.

The Bathurst 12 Hour will be held on 11-14 February 2027

The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour roars back to Mount Panorama from 11-14 February 2027, once again launching the Australian motorsport year and igniting the Intercontinental GT Challenge in spectacular style.

Please note the suites will be open from Friday 12- Sunday 14th February. Pricing and GA tickets for Thursday are still in planning.

Off the back of the BMW 1-2 win in 2025, and a 3rd place in 2026, it is sure to be a fantastic event.

Be sure to join our group in an exclusive Pit Lane Corporate Suite in 2027 on top of the pit building complex, offering great viewing of the main straight and pit lane. Enjoy the freedom of being able to come and go all day and have the security of being part of our own Executive Suite.

A deposit of $600 per person is required to hold your reservation.
